social strategy + content production + short-form video editing + copywriting
Black PAC
Project
BLACK PAC
While working with BlackPAC, I led cross-platform social media strategy, content production, short-form video editing, and copywriting. From ideation and creation to publishing and performance analytics, I managed the end-to-end production of social content across the organization's platforms.
When I joined BlackPAC, there was no established social or digital strategy in place. I helped build its digital presence by developing evergreen cultural content and timely, informational content for Black voters nationwide, with a particular focus on key electoral states.
Working during a high-stakes national election cycle required me to research, develop, and produce real-time graphics and videos that made complex political information accessible and engaging for our core audience — all while responding to a rapidly evolving news cycle.
Goal
The goal at BlackPAC wasn't simply to post content; it was to build a community rooted in trust. I wanted our audience to know they could turn to us for the stories, moments, and information that mattered to their lives, from politics and elections to their own communities.
This meant staying on top of local and national news, translating complex political developments into digestible content, providing voters with actionable information on how, when, and where to vote, and highlighting moments when Black people were making an impact across politics, entertainment, sports, and culture.
Approach
Social Links
I developed a consistent content strategy centered on three pillars: Voter Education, Cultural Moments, and Real-Time Reporting. By balancing actionable voting information with culturally relevant stories and timely coverage of issues affecting our audience, I positioned BlackPAC as a resource for both civic information and cultural connection.
Over the course of a year and a half, this approach contributed to a 1.2K increase in followers and a 15% boost in audience engagement across platforms.
